Biography

Dr Simon Wu is a clinical and laboratory haematologist who graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2013. He completed his training in clinical haematology at Alfred Health, Monash Health, Eastern Health and Epworth Healthcare, and his training in laboratory haematology at Dorevitch Pathology. Dr Wu received his Fellowships from the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (RCPA) and Royal Australasian College of Physicians (RCAP) in haematology in 2022, then completed his Molecular Haematology Fellowship at Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre from 2022 to 2024.

He has achieved certification for NPAAC Extension of Scope of Practice in Molecular Genetics - Haematology (targeted screening for undefined variants in genes associated with specified clinical phenotypes).

Dr Wu specialises in Molecular Haematology Next Generation Sequencing DNA and RNA analysis, somatic variant curation and germline variant curation in haematological disorders and has extensive experience in structured pathology reporting.
