A DNA profile is like a fingerprint – it’s unique to you and the best way of confirming your identity, or the identity of your children.
This can be a legal test, which is often taken by people who:
- think there might be a dispute over their estate after their death
- worry about their children going missing and want to be able to identify them in the future
- work in a high risk profession like the military where they may need to be identified after death.
For DNA profiling, most DNA laboratories test 13 different locations on your DNA strand. We test for 16 specific locations for a more accurate result.
